Dog Training
Does it really have to be the owner's fault every time the dog doesn't do this or that? You know, maybe sometimes the dog is just jacked up. Like if I am in a bad mood it isn't everyone else's fault; I'm just in a bad mood.
Now I know as the human in this dog/human relationship that I am supposed to take charge and "lead the pack" but when my dog decides she hates her leash and harness and as far as I can tell I've been doing the same thing that I did the month before which seemed fine at the time, WHAT?!
She has decided she hates her leash and harness. I have not beaten her with it or tried to strangle her with it. She hates being in it. So now I am working with her, but seriously, what did I do to cause this? Did I do anything to cause this?
She just put on her breaks about two weeks ago and has gotten steadily more resistant to the leash since then. Now I'm being told to just have her wear the leash around the house while I'm there to supervise to help her get over it. We'll see.
Okay, so at the moment I do feel obstinate about the whole dog psychology thing. We've done so well in training. She can do lots of things, but she's willful and I really think she's just testing me to see what she can get away with. I KNOW she's not a human. I know that, but you should see what she does to get toys away from the other dog... Sure looks like the stuff I've seen kids on the playground or adults in the work environment do to each other. Grrr...
Alright. I'm done now. I'm going to go put the leash back on the dog and watch her pout for the rest of the day while wearing it... Oh wait. She's a dog. She must not be pouting. Whatever.

Hey... isn't she in the "terrible twos" right about now? I think dogs go through phases in their growth and maturity... and yes, they DO test you...
in addition to continuing the training, try some kinds of bonding activities with her, just the two of you... See if that helps!
