Last Minute Stuff

We're on our way to Europe tomorrow morning. I'm happy to say I have most of my "to do" list done. I have yet another thing to do for a client before I go, so that means I'll probably be working on it right up until we leave for the airport, but I believe it will get done.

We'll be in Paris for about five days, then in Venice and then back to Paris for a day before we get back on the plane to the US. I can't promise I'll be blogging much during our stay overseas, but I might pop in for a short note.

Paris and Venice are supposed to be rainy while we're there, which I think will be way cool. I got new nifty shoes for our travels, so I'm ready for walking and they do have traction so if it is wet out I should be fine. I sewed new buttons on my overcoat last night while watching the finale of 24. The coat is really awesome but those buttons have never stayed on. I think I'll be wearing the coat on the plane since we'll be wet the second we get into Paris.

Once we get to Paris we are going to catch a train to our hotel, which is basically in the center of the city and very close to Notre Dame. Jimmy knows what train to catch; it'll just be a matter of figuring out how to find it.

Oh, I have a cold too. I started getting sick on Friday night and Sunday was pretty much the worst of it. I've been bombing my system with vitamins and Airborne for days now. I think it is helping. I have needed more sleep than normal, but I haven't been totally knocked out like I get when I don't take anything.

I better go. My sister is in the hospital and I need to visit her. My mom needs directions about a couple of things she's doing for us when we're gone. Jimmy's mom also needs a "how to care for the pets" list. Once all that is done then it'll just be me, in the middle of the night (again) with a cold and client work. Such has been the case for too many weeks to count now.
