End of Semester

Yesterday evening was finals night for two of my classes. These were the last two finals. I felt horrible when I showed up because I had to kick people out of my classroom when I showed up. They were students in the room for lab. Lab ends when my 4:25 class begins. The students were printing stuff for their finals in other classes. Apparently we (the school) didn't have enough lab time for them to get all their stuff printed in their opinion.

Okay, so other than that the rest of the night all went really well. My ART 192 class was first with their final. Their final was to present their final projects to the class and have everyone critique their work. We had a great class this semester and pretty much everyone had beautiful sites. It was the best overall turn out of work I have seen from one of my web classes ever.

My last class of the night just had to come in and take a final. I return all their prints from the semester as well while they are taking their final, which is really cool because I return the work in the order they were assigned so the students get to see a steady improvement in their work and have a visual recap of all they've done/learned while they are taking their final. For me it is bittersweet... Remembering all the work and thinking about all the students, one by one, as I return their work to them.

Now I am grading. I have one last class to finish. Again, bittersweet. And then I am on to doing our business full time. I am really excited about that!
