Summer's Here
The semester ended a couple of weeks ago and since then Burt and I have dove head on into working on Newhouse Studios' projects. It's nice having a regular work schedule and basically being focused on one thing instead being divided between two full-time commitments.
Jimmy, myself, and his immediate family headed off to Washington D.C. for the Memorial Day weekend to visit his side of the family. We attended a wedding for Jimmy's cousin while we were there as well as getting a little site seeing done and having time to connect with family we normally never see. I am always pleased spending time with Jimmy's family; they are all great people and super welcoming. I am so happy they are in my life.
Shyanne arrived at the end of May for her summer stay with Grandma. We finally got to spend time with her this last weekend. It's good to see her growing up but still maintaining some of the things about her that we've always loved. Today I got to get her ready for her day and I got to watch her read for the first time in months. She's come such a long way in her ability to read;
I was really amazed. She used to fight us terribly at the very beginning of her reading development. Now she seems like she could read just about anything and she's patient when she gets stuck.After we returned from Washington, we headed back into web projects... The most recent one we just completed is Ironclad Coatings. It's a redo of his previous site, but with new project photos and a better photo gallery.
